MN Snowstorm Leading to Messy Monday Commute

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Get ready for a slow commute. A snowstorm blowing into the state could dump 8 inches of snow in parts of the state, leading to a messy commute Monday morning.

The National Weather Service says snow was expected to fall Sunday evening in the northwest part of the state. Meteorologist Tony Zaleski says the area could see 2 to 4 inches by noon Monday.

Most of the snow was expected to fall in the eastern half of the state. Zaleski says those areas could see 3 to 5 inches, while the Lake Superior area could see 6 to 8 inches.

He says the good news is, today’s highs could reach the low 40s in southwestern Minnesota and the upper 30s across the southern half of the state.
