Minnesota Man Gets 9 Years For Selling Synthetic LSD

MANKATO (AP) - A southern Minnesota man has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison for his role in the distribution of synthetic LSD that killed two people in Mankato.

Twenty-three-year-old Tyler Caputo was sentenced Wednesday on charges of aiding and abetting third-degree murder and fourth-degree drug sales. He received credit for the nearly two years he's already spent in county jail and will serve at least six years of his sentence in prison before he's eligible for supervised release.

Caputo was ordered to pay about $13,700 in restitution to the family of 17-year-old Chloe Moses, who died after taking what she thought was synthetic LSD.

Twenty-two-year-old Louis Folson also died after taking the drug, but the charges Caputo faced in his death were dropped.
