Mary K. Patterson, 72, St. Cloud

April 12, 1943 - January 20, 2016

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Mary K. Patterson, age 72 of St. Cloud, who passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Benedict’s Senior Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Interment will take place at the Assumption Cemetery Columbarium, St. Cloud.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Mary (Berg) Patterson was born April 12, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Thomas J. and Grace (Schleuder) Berg. She grew up in New Ulm and attended Cathedral High School, and later St. Cloud State University. She worked for Reach Up Head Start in St. Cloud for 42 years, retiring as a disability services coordinator in 2011. After retirement, she served as a volunteer for CentraCare Health in St. Cloud. She was a member of the Junior Pioneers of New Ulm. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the birds and squirrels that shared her bird-feeding generosity, rooting for the Vikings and the Twins, reading, and going to movies and concerts with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include daughters Kristi Stock of St. Cloud, Julie Topel of Monticello and Becky (Jim) Harren of Big Lake; son Todd Dyre of St. Cloud; brother Tom (Kathleen) Berg of New Ulm and sister Kathy (Gary) Derong of Vadnais Heights; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
