Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Living Waters Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Mark C. Christianson, 56, who died Friday, November 14, 2014 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Todd Mattson and Rev. Denise Hanson will concelebrate and burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Collegeville. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 – 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Parish Prayers with a time of sharing will be at 7:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral Home.

Mark was born July 23, 1958 in Princeton to Reuben and Caroline (Pelg) Christianson. He married the love of his life Pam Burnham on April 25, 1981 in Monticello. Mark was an organized person who likes order; however, Pam taught Mark how to be spontaneous on occasion. Mark started his professional career as a Trust Officer for Zapp/ US Bank on February 5, 1981. He enhanced his education by earning a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University and continued to work for Zapp/US Bank for 33 years most recently as Senior Vice President Managing Director. He was a two time Pinnacle Award Winner for US Bank. Mark served on many boards within the community over the years and was a Rotarian.

Mark would do anything for anyone and was considered a friend by his clients. He enjoyed getting to know people on a personal level and would talk to anyone anywhere. He approached everything in life with respect and dignity. Mark was a humble man; teaching his three children to have a good work ethic. He was always a caretaker to his family, always supporting his children with helpful and supportive advice. Mark was a member at Living Waters Lutheran Church, where he embraced his strong and quiet faith. He enjoyed reading quietly while vacationing on the north shore at Bluefin Bay, time at the lake, and spoiling his grandchildren. Mark
will be forever missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam of Sauk Rapids; children, Shaleen (Nick) Cameron of Duluth, Carisa (Josh) Axelson of St. Cloud, Jordan (Gabrielle Boser) of Duluth; mother, Caroline of Big Lake; siblings, Mike of Big Lake, Marlys (Jerry) Peterson of Big Lake, Mel (Nohelia) of St. Paul, Mary (Danny) Lutz of Elk River; sister-in-law, Paulie (Ron) Chamberlin of Caledonia; brother –in-law, Greg Burnham of Foley; grandchildren, Peyton Axelson, Aislyn Cameron, Hattie Cameron, Tyden Axelson, Maclin Axelson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Reuben; mother-in-law, Margaret Burnham; and father-in-law, Daryl Burnham.
