Marilyn “Nicky” F. Ruhoff, 63, Foley

December 25, 1952 - April 6, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm for Marilyn “Nicky” F. Ruhoff, age 63, who passed away Wednesday at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate and burial will be private. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church in Duelm.

Marilyn Frances Ruhoff was born Dec. 25, 1952 in St. Cloud to Frank & Eileen (Holthaus) Pozorski. She married Bernard “Bernie” E. Ruhoff on Oct. 3, 1970 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm where she has been a member ever since. Nicky worked in the Logistics Department at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. She also ran a daycare for many years. Some would say she “raised Duelm”. Nicky cared for others’ children as her own and she will always be remembered for her quiet and caring presence. Friends gathered for ceramics, where many good times were shared. Nicky had a gift for “painting the eyes”. She was extremely crafty and creative. She enjoyed scrapbooking, camping and playing games. Nicky loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her husband, Bernie of Foley; children, Bernie J. (Nicole) of Foley, Greg A. (Traci) of Foley, Nathan P. (Sarah) of Foley, Molly J. (Quint) of Rice, and Katie L. (Luke) Matvick of Foley; sisters and brothers, Bonnie Ruhoff of Sauk Rapids, Rosie Schmiesing of Clear Lake, Lori Regnier of St. Cloud, Jerry Pozorski of Foley, Dale Pozorski of Clear Lake, David Pozorski of Beaufort, SC, Frank Pozorski of St. Cloud, and Larry Pozorski of St. Joseph; and eleven grandchildren. Nicky was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Bodi.
