Marilyn Elaine Blitvich, age 80, St. Cloud, MN, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Marilyn was born December 9, 1935 in Duluth, MN to Abraham and Martha (Peterson) Rones. She married Richard Blitvich on February 11, 1956 in Hibbing, MN. Marilyn along with her husband, Richard owned and operated Sammy’s Pizza in St. Cloud until they sold their business in 2012. She loved to play bridge, ride her bike in the neighborhood and she especially loved her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; sons and daughters, Steven (Becky) Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; Thomas (Pilar) Blitvich of Charlotte, NC; Roxanne (Dwight) Anderson of Escondido, CA; Suzanne Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Conrad Rones of Tower, MN; and 7 grandchildren, Dyllan, David, Michael, Alexander, Nicholas, Jared, and Isaak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Blitvich, and brother Lawrence Rones.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Foley Nursing Home and Memory Care Unit for the compassionate care that was given to Marilyn during her time there.
