Marie A. Brambrink, 98, Foley

December 23, 1918 - February 12, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minden Township for Marie A. Brambrink, age 98, who passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church in Minden Township. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Marie was born in Minden Township on December 23, 1918 to Joseph & Magdalena (Stibinger) Jurek. She graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1936. Marie married Louis Brambrink on May 4, 1943 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They farmed in Sherburne County most of their lives. She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and taught religious education for many years. Marie loved Christmas, feeding the birds, cooking and baking, growing flowers and vegetables, and her dog Boots. She learned to decorate wedding cakes and every grandchild got a unique and beautifully decorated birthday cake each year.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Mary Ellen) of St. Cloud, Donald (Judy) of St. Cloud and Dolores Berger of Clear Lake; daughter-in-law, Lynnette of Cambridge; and sister, Laura Goenner of Sauk Rapids. She had 15 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; son, Gerald; son-in-law, Richard Berger; sisters, Stella Studer and Celia Jurek; and brothers, Clarence, Walter and Roy Jurek.
