MORA (AP) - A 34-year-old man accused of drunken driving likely will be charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the death of a Sandstone teenager.

Seventeen-year-old Colton Nelson was killed last week in a two-car accident near his home in rural Kanabec County. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital in critical condition. But the Kanabec County Sheriff's Office says the man's condition has improved and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Two passengers in Nelson's vehicle suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening.

About 1,000 people attended a funeral for Nelson on Monday. He's been described as a stand-out student and athlete by friends and family members.
