Man Taken to Hospital After Shooting Himself in the Hand

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Police were called to the 4300 Block of Clearwater Road just before Midnight last night (Sunday) after a man shot himself in the hand.

Twenty-six-year-old Mark Blankenship was taken to CentraCare Health after accidentally shooting himself in the hand while attempting to clear his firearm.

No other injuries were reported. Blankenship has a permit to carry out of Arizona.

The case is being sent to the Stearns County Attorney officer for review of charges against Blankenship.
