Man Arrested After Sexually Assaulting Girl

ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man was arrested after a sexual assault report late Wednesday night.

Police were called to the 1400 block of 5th Avenue South just before midnight on a sexual assault in progress. Police say a juvenile female had been pushed up against a wall and was sexually assaulted by inappropriately touching her.

The suspect, 44-year-old Obatay Powell of St. Cloud was then assaulted by the tenant, 26-year-old Sylvester Johnson.

The girl was not hurt during the incident. Powell was arrested on suspicion of 4th and 5th degree sexual assault.

Johnson was booked and released on 5th degree assault.
