Man, 81, Jailed in Kandiyohi Shooting Death
WILLMAR, Minn. (AP) – An 81-year-old man has been arrested in the death of a 43-year-old man from an apparent gunshot in Kandiyohi County.
The West Central Tribune reports the 81-year-old man and his 45-year-old son were arrested Saturday and were being held in the Kandiyohi County Jail.
A news release from the sheriff’s office says deputies received a call from the older man who said he was at a home in Burbank Township and that he has shot and killed someone.
When deputies arrived, they found the man and the body of the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The name of the victim has not been released. The shooting suspect — 81-year-old Delbert Huber — has not been formally charged. The West Central Tribune says his 45-year-old son Timothy Huber was arrested for aiding an offender and for liability for the crimes of another.
Delbert Huber told deputies he had a confrontation with the victim and shot him.
