Lorraine C. Henfling, 93, Eden Valley

March 21, 1921 - January 15, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Lorraine C. Henfling, age 93, who passed away Thursday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Rev. Richard Gross will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be 6:30 p.m., followed by Christian Women at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church in Eden Valley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley.

Lorraine was born March 21, 1921 in Eden Valley to John & Anna (Buechele) Bauer. She married Arthur Henfling on June 11, 1942 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Lorraine was a homemaker and worked in the manufacturing business with her husband for many years. She lived her entire life in Eden Valley and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Assumption Christian Women. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, crafts, quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include her sisters, Marie (Al) Thielen of Eden Valley and Helen Florence of New Prague; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur on Feb. 6, 1986; brothers, Elmer and Herbie Bauer; and brother-in-law, Henry Florence.
