Local Business Offers Acres of Do-It-Yourself Christmas Tree Cutting [AUDIO]
CLEAR LAKE - For many families, picking out a Christmas tree means visiting the grocery store parking lot and finding the one missing the fewest amount of needles.
Getting to select and cut your own tree is an experience unique to a handful of places - including central Minnesota.
Brad Johnson is the owner/operator of B and J Evergreen Choose and Cut tree farm in Clear Lake. They've got over 200 acres complete with 10 different varieties of Christmas trees. Customers can drive around the land in search of their own tree.
But Johnson says picking the tree is only one part of the experience.
Johnson says a big draw for B and J is the petting zoo with ponies, goats, chickens - and even a reindeer.
They'll be open beginning today, and for directions, hours and prices, check out their website.
