SAUK RAPIDS - Fresh cheese curds, BBQ ribs and so many more tasty options were enjoyed at the Rapids River Days Food Fest.

Over 20 different food vendors were set up at Municipal Park in Sauk Rapids. From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. food, music, inflatables and beer were enjoyed by friends and neighbors alike.

John Brinkman is co-owner of Mixin-It-Up Gluten Free Bakery in Sauk Rapids. He says they are excited to be apart of Food Fest for the first time.

"It is definitely fun to make it out here and talk with people. There are a lot of people who live in Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud who have never heard of us, so we're getting the word out that we are here and making gluten free treats that taste great."

Brinkman also says the event gives Sauk Rapids and it's business exposure to a larger audience.

"We love Sauk Rpaids and that why we opened our store here. We love these type of events, it brings our community together and brings people from outside of the community in to show them what we have in Sauk Rapids."

Besides food there was also a strongman/woman competition, inflatables, and games.
