Lillian Emelia (Lizakowski) Byzewski was born May 4, 1926 in Warsaw, North Dakota, the daughter of Polly and Stanley Lizakowski. On November 7, 1946, she was united in marriage with Earl Byzewski. During her more active years, Lillian enjoyed spending time with her young grandchildren and other family members; raising house plants; 'exercise walking' at the Mall with her husband, Earl; playing Bingo and other activities. When it came to card playing, she was usually first to be seated for a good game of '500' with family and friends. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan who almost never missed a televised game even as her eyesight diminished. She continued to play Bingo (large print cards of course) up until a week before her passing.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Rose Lueck; grandson, Scott (Shelby Goodwin) Petsch; granddaughter, Michelle (Vlad) Scheglowski; great-grandchildren: Zachary Scheglowski, Jarret Petsch, Jaci Petsch, Alex Scheglowski, Anna Scheglowski, Nicholas Scheglowski; sister-in-law, Mary Lizakowski; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 57 years, Earl; sister, Pearl; brothers: Sylvester, Earl, Bert, Stanley; and many other extended family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to: Dr. Alice Mann (her primary care doctor prior to placement at Trinity); Trinity Care Center's Dr. Kammueller, Ngum Ngwa, RNCNP, and staff for their excellent care of Lillian; Northfield Hospital's Dr. Gebler and Medical/Surgical staff for the professional and compassionate care of Lillian and her extended family; Father Benjamin Little for visiting Lillian and administering Last Rites; and Dottie Knutson for her prompt response to our request.

Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly and gave us so much. She will be dearly missed. Thank you Mom, Grandma, and Granny. Rest in Peace. You truly deserve it.
