Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker for Kenneth W. Treptau, age 63, who passed away Friday in Becker. Rev. Eugene Doyle will officiate. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Becker. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker and one hour prior to services on Friday at church. Parish prayers will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Ken was born August 7, 1952 in Wayzata to Allan and Margaret (Pettit) Treptau. He married Patricia Bermel April 14, 1973 in Corcoran. He grew up in Corcoran and Loretto and has lived in Becker since 1984. After 44 years with the Twin City Ironworkers Local 512, he retired in 2012 from KMH Erectors, Inc where he was a foreman and a member of the union. He was Vice President of the Local Union 512 Retiree Club. Ken was a member of Mary of the Visitation Catholic in Becker. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He liked to farm and also loved Vikings football. Spending time with his family, especially his grandkids was very important to him.

Ken is survived by his wife, Patty of Becker; sons and daughter, Jason (Lisa) Treptau of Sauk Rapids, Jennifer (Mark) Edling of Clear Lake, John (Jessica) Treptau of Becker, and Jacob (Heather) Treptau of Becker; mother, Margaret Treptau of Loretto; brother and sisters, Tom (Patti) Treptau of Loretto, Sandy (Rod) Pettit of Buffalo and Karen (Brad) Weidenfeller of Crystal; 9 grandchildren, Cayden, Madelynn, Montanna, McKenna, Payton, Avery, Camryn, Cohen and Declan. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Pam Treptau; and step-grandson, Casey.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
