Jerome ‘Jerry’ Kroska, 68, Foley

Jerry Kroska, age 68, of Foley, died Thursday February 12, 2015, at home doing what he loved in the woods.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 Sunday at St. Lawrence Church in Duelm and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Knight's of Columbus Rosary service will be at 4 pm followed by the Parish Prayers at 7pm Sunday evening at the church. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Jerome 'Jerry' Kroska was born February 4, 1947, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Joseph and Anastasia (Kachmarek) Kroska. He married Bernadette Fernholz on October 10, 1970, at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. Jerry was born, raised, and farmed all his life in St. George Township, Benton Co. The family farm was honored as a "Century Farm" in 2014. Jerry was a past township supervisor and Benton County Planning and Zoning board member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working in the woods. Jerry played softball and bowled for many years. He was a State Fire Warden. He was also a member of the Duelm Knights of Columbus and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette, Foley; sons and daughters; Mark (Jennifer), St. Cloud; Michael (Lori), Foley; Jared (Amy), Foley; Jeanna (Josh) Borgerding, St. Cloud; Alex (Susan), Milaca, Brett (Kari), Foley. Jay and Rudy, at home, and Angela, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren and brothers and sisters; Larry (Jan), Foley; Kathy (Steve) Kroska, St. Paul; Elaine Kroska, Farmington; Mary (Terry) Bennett, Oregon, Delores (Mike) Kittelson, Taiwan; Sharon Kroska, Switzerland; Joanne Kroska, Sartell and Joe (Susan), Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Mark.
