The SCSU baseball team dropped a nail-biter to Minnesota State-Mankato 4-3 Saturday afternoon before bouncing back with a dramatic 5-4 win over Southern Arkansas in the nightcap.

The Huskies were able to tie the game at two on runs batted in from Travis Cariveau and Mike Jurgella, but MSU-Mankato scored single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to earn the win.

In the nightcap, Phil Imholte's relay from left field to home nailed the tying run at the plate to end the game in the ninth inning. Designated hitter Zach Hoffman was 4-4 in the game, and third baseman Sean Borman ended the game 3-3.

The Huskies will take on Minnesota State-Mankato Sunday at noon for a trip to Cary, NC and the NCAA DII World Series.
