Hundreds Relive The Sixties at St. Cloud Block Party [PHOTOS]
ST. CLOUD -- Granite City Days is off to a great start with this year's Liberty Savings Block Party.
Hundreds came out to relive the sixties with The Grass Roots, The White Sidewalls and Herman's Hermits.
The last time The Grass Roots played in St. Cloud was nearly 25 years ago. Three St. Cloud women, Rossie Kole, Kia Mi and Peggy have been waiting years to see the band come back to Granite City.
"We've seen The Grass Roots about 15 years ago and they sound just as good [now] and we we're so bummed that we were going to miss them but we got here just in time."
Adults and kids both enjoyed the show.
Korinne from Sauk Rapids says the block party is a great way to bring the community together to enjoy summer.
"I just think [it's great] because it brings everyone together it doesn't matter young or old you know everyone is here enjoying it [the block party]," says Korinne.
Granite City Days continues tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m. with the Granite City Day Parade in downtown St. Cloud.
