The Spring Yard Care Workshop for Pollinators is coming up on Tuesday April 9th from 5-7pm. The meeting with be held at the Becker City Park Building, on County Road 23 S.E. in Becker. 

The topics that will be covered at this meeting will include: 

  • Native plant alternatives for your garden 
  • Spring Tree and Shrub Care 
  • Upcoming Pests and Diseases 
  • Turf Alternatives 
  • Native Prairie Establishment 

There will be two featured speakers at this event; Quincy Sadowski of the University of Minnesota Extension, and Grayson Smith from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. There will be a speaker from the Sherburne Soil and Water Conservation District too.

If you plan to attend this event, you will need to pre-register by April 1st.  You can register for this meeting here or by calling 763-220-3434, extension 105. 

The organizers of the event ask that you RSVP because they will send each attendee home with a packet of information, and they want to make sure they have enough information ready for those who attend.  

If your goal is to see better results outside this year, this event should be able to get you headed in the right direction and hopefully have the bountiful outcomes you seek.
