ST. CLOUD - The CentraCare Health Foundation is kicking-off the public portion of their capital campaign today (Monday).

The "Caring For Generations" campaign is raising money for the $225 million expansion project at St. Cloud Hospital.

Foundation Executive Director Mark Larken says construction has been underway for about two years already, and it's expected to be finished next year.

Larken says they have a goal of raising $21.7 million in the capital campaign.  The just completed quiet phase already has raised about $18.2 million of that total.

Larken says Marco Incorporated will match the first $100,000 in the this phase of the campaign.  He says they plan to use their website, direct mail, and advertisements to get the word out about the project.

When it's completed, about 360,000 square feet of new space will be added to the St. Cloud Hospital.

A kick-off event is being held today (Monday) at 5:00 p.m. at the River's Edge Convention Center.
