Homestead Classification Deadline Approaching

UNDATED -- Only two days remain to file your property as a homestead classification.

You need to file the application if you or a qualifying relative has been living in the home since December 1st, and it was purchased in the last year or was previously classified as non-homestead.

If you need to file the homestead application, call or stop by your county assessor's office no later than Wednesday, December 15th.

If you sell, move or no longer qualify for the homestead classification you are required to notify your county assessor within 30 days.
