Paramount Theatre stage beginning tonight.

The GREAT Theatre company is rolling out their latest production, the beloved musical "Hairspray."

High school junior Abria Stewart leads the 34 member cast as Tracy Turnblad, a "pleasantly plump" girl from Baltimore who dreams of dancing on American Bandstand-style television program, "The Corny Collins Show."

This is Stewart's first GREAT Theatre show, which she hopes will start a career in musical theatre.

Stewart isn't the only breakout star in "Hairspray." Each performance of the show is set to include cameo appearances from folks like Mayor Dave Kleis, State Representatives  King Banaian and Steve Gottwalt,  St. Cloud Superintendent of schools Bruce Watkins - just to name a few.

The show opens on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and will run for the next two weekends.

For a complete list of showtimes, and ticket information, you can call the Paramount Box Office at 259-5463, or visit the GREAT Theatre website.

And check out a few highlights from the final dress rehearsal.
