‘Guns & Hoses’ Bout The Main Event At Boxing Tournament In Sauk Rapids [AUDIO]

SAUK RAPIDS - Some of the best amateur boxers in the the state will be competing in Sauk Rapids this Saturday.

St. Cloud Golden Gloves Boxing is hosting the state championships.

Spokeswoman Cindy Schumacher says they're expecting to host about 15 bouts, with a wide variety of ages.

The main event is a "Guns & Hoses" bout between St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jesse Douvier and Sauk Rapids fireman Tom Muelhbauer.

Spokeswoman Kelly Sayre says both men have been training since the spring for the match.

The bouts begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Sauk Rapids Fire Station.

The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and kids 12 and under are free.
