UNDATED - Another session of the Minnesota State Legislature is underway.  Key issues include whether to build a new Vikings Stadium and putting together a bonding bill.  But there will also be a lot of other bills proposed during the session, some will get a lot of media attention, some will barely be mentioned.

No matter what the issue, or what position you have on it, if you have a strong opinion you're encouraged to contact the people who represent you and let them know how you feel.

There are several ways to reach out to the Senators and Representatives, as well as the Governor:

We have a "Contact Your Lawmakers" page right here on WJON.com.  It lists their phone number, mailing address, and e-mail address.

We also have have our Legislative Review program live on AM 1240 WJON every Friday morning in the 9:00 a.m. hour.  You're encouraged to call-in and ask the lawmakers a question, or you can send us an e-mail and we'll ask the questions for you.

And our local lawmakers schedule regular Town Hall meetings in their districts throughout the session.  We announce them on WJON, and urge you to take advantage of meeting them face-to-face.

This year's session is anticipated to be a short one, with leaders saying they're hoping to adjourn in April.
