March 19, 1927 - July 3, 2016

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell for George C.H. Trapp, 89 of Sartell who died at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center on Sunday. Rev. David Franzmeier will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell.

George Carl Henry Trapp was born on March 19, 1927 in West St. Paul to Louis F. and Clara (Motz) Trapp. He was married to Adela Englert on March 19, 1955. George served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 until he was honorably discharged in 1953. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dixville and was a farmer. George also worked hard at building greenhouses for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and had a very strong work ethic.

Survivors include his wife, Adela of Sartell; daughters and sons, Sharon (Michael) King of Rice, Gene (Michelle) Trapp of Pierz, Edward Trapp of Rice and Anita (David Warner) Trapp-Warner of Foreston; sister, Dorothy Englert of Eagan; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles and Louis A. Trapp and sister, Ethel Linkert.
