CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) - Forecasters say bitter cold temperatures will greet New Year's revelers venturing outdoors.

A wind chill advisory is in effect for all of central and southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin through 10 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures with the wind chill will be in the 25 to 30 below range.

New Year's Eve travelers can expect regular temperatures to stay below zero Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says a chance of light snow moves in New Year's Day for Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Storm trackers say significant snowfall over central and northern Minnesota could arrive this weekend.
