September 2, 1934 - December 15, 2016

Frank Kollar, 82, of Princeton, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home.

Frank Michael Kollar Jr. was born on September 2, 1934, in Onamia, MN, the son of Frank Sr. and Maria (Varga) Kollar. Frank grew up on the family farm with his 10 siblings. He was united in marriage to Genevieve Burnett on August 1, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. The couple made their home in Minneapolis for 5 years before moving to Princeton and starting their family. Frank and Genevieve raised 4 sons, Ivan, Jeffery, Carl and Roy. Frank worked for Quality Drywall as a carpenter for 40 years and also farmed in between.

While Frank loved deer hunting, ice fishing and tractor pulling, his greatest love was for his family. He was always supportive of his sons, adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they could do no wrong. He loved having his family around him and just observing, absorbing everything in.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Genevieve of Princeton; his children, Ivan (Maggie) of Deer Park, WI, Jeffery (Roxane) of Milaca, Carl (Lisa) of Underwood and Roy (Lisa) of Becker; 6 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 5 great-grandsons and 9 great-granddaughters; brothers Michael (Carol), Joseph and Anthony (Joan); along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frantisek, John, Andrew and Vandal; and sisters, Margaret, Judy and Genevieve Primus.
