AVON -- Several fire crews were called to the scene of a house fire in Avon this (Tuesday) morning.

The fire happened just after 10:00 a.m. at 201 Barracuda Avenue Northeast near downtown Avon.

WJON reporter Isaac Schweer says the home suffered smoke and water damage.

Crews were called back to the scene around 1:30 p.m. to put out some hot spots in the house.

Avon Fire Chief Joel Richter says no one was hurt in the blaze and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Albany and Holdingford fire departments assisted at the scene.
