The Benton County Sheriff's Office is sponsoring a youth snowmobile safety course on Saturday, February 21st.
The class takes place at the Benton County Sheriff's Office in Foley and is for individuals between the ages of 11 and 18. Students must complete the classroom portion of the class on their own prior to February 21st. This can be completed by obtaining an instructional CD through the DNR website or at the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
To register for the class students must send their name, date of birth and contact information to snowmobile-safety@co.benton.mn.us.
Snowmobiles will be available at the office for the testing portion of the certification. The class will be held on the 21st regardless of the amount of snow on the ground.
