Whitney Senior Center will once again be hosting a Spring Health and Wellness Fair for our community. The fair is scheduled for Thursday March 31, 2016 from 8 a.m.-12 in the Whitney Center gymnasium.
This important community fair is free and open to the public, with an emphasis on people age 55 and older.This year we have two additional features that will create community interest.
We are bringing in a keynote speaker, Dr. Dale Anderson from the University of Minnesota, who will present “Laughter is the Best Medicine,” at 9:30 a.m. in Clemens Hall.
The second feature will be free Traveling Health Screenings for cognition, blood pressure, nutrition, balance, oral cancer checks, vaccinations, stroke, and hearing and sleep assessments. These screenings are provided through a collaboration with St. Cloud State University, College of St. Benedict and St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
