Piano Day at St. Cloud State is Jan. 28

St. Cloud State University is celebrating piano music Jan. 28 with Piano Day, a day-long event to provide educational and musical experience high school piano students and teachers.
Piano day starts for participants at 9 a.m. Jan. 28 and concludes with a faculty concert at 2:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
The concert will be presented by Shannon Sadler, who will be joined by Marion Judish on violin and Charles Asch on cello.
The purpose of Piano Day is to provide an educational and musical experience for area high school piano students and piano teachers as well as foster the growth of the community of piano students and educators in St. Cloud and the surrounding area.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops, presentations and performances to expand their knowledge, develop new skills and build relationships with other participants.
Piano teachers and students alike will have opportunities to discuss piano repertoire, technique and pedagogy through sessions as well as learn about the science and craftsmanship behind how pianos work.
All the Piano Day events are free and open to the public.
