Julie had a life saving liver transplant on March 9th, 2017. She battled Primary Schlerosing Colangitis, a disease of her bile duct which severely damaged her liver. It was a long, stressful and scary road leading up to the transplant with 4 hospitalizations in the 6 weeks prior to the transplant. Post surgery had many more ups and downs after a 34 day hospital stay plus two additional weeks in Rochester, she was finally back home to Milaca. She had round the clock care from her family members until just recently. She has been working hard to regain her strength and independence. Her 4 month check up and testing at the Mayo in July showed the new liver working beautifully! She continues to have bi-weekly labs locally which are monitored by the Mayo. She'll have another round of re-testing on her transplant anniversary date of March 2018. Thanks to this amazing gift of life she has many more years to enjoy life with family and friends. Thank you for all the love and support you have already shown the family.

The goal of this benefit is to relieve some of the financial burden of the medial expenses though the proceeds raised.
