Helping Hands Outreach: Beginner String Instrument Class Offered

HOLDINGFORD -- St. Cloud-based musician Paul Imholte plays a variety of instruments, including the the auto harp, ukulele, and the hammer dulcimer to create a unique sound. Beginning in March, Imholte will pass on his knowledge in a series of introductory classes held in Holdingford.

The classes will be held on March 1, 8, 22, and 29 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Community and Adult Day Center in Holdingford Minnesota. The cost is $15 for an individual, $10 for seniors, and $40 for a family up to four. Scholarships are available based on need.

March 1: The Hammer Dulcimer
March 8: The Auto Harp
March 22: The Mountain Dulcimer
March 29: The Ukulele

Participants will have hands-on opportunities to play each instrument while developing an appreciation for each instrument, learning music theory, and the history of each instrument. Call Helping Hands Outreach at 746-9960 to register. This program is supported by a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board and a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund

Helping Hands Outreach is a non-profit organization headquarters in Holdingford, MN.
