The West Central Minnesota Oncology Nursing Society, will be hosting our 2nd Annual Shine a Light on Lung Cancer, a free public event.

What is a “Shine a Light on Lung Cancer” Event ? LOCAL SURVIVORS AND ADVOCATES UNITE FOR THE NATION’S LARGEST LUNG CANCER AWARENESS EVENT, WHY: To bring hope, inspiration and support to the Central MN area. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States taking more lives annually than breast, prostate and colon cancer combined.

Please help us spread the word for the public to attend on, Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Riverside Inn 118 3rd. St. S. Cold Spring, MN

The nationally known keynote speaker is Brenda Elsagher, author and comedian, she will present “Laughter through the Cancer Journey”. Brenda will take the audience on a journey of laughter providing survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals a break from the realities of life, of dealing with cancer. Brenda will use humor to share her own cancer survivor stories, daring to say things that people without cancer never say. In hopes to leave them with an overall sense of well-being, understandings, giving them hope encouragement and huge doses of laughter to living life to the fullest with all they have. Come and enjoy this special time to honor other cancer survivors and Shine a light on Lung Cancer!
