ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area School District has completed energy efficiency upgrades to their buildings, which will save the district money.

The three main upgrades include: improved light fixtures, ballasts, and bulbs, low-flow water fixtures, and sealing cracks at building joints and around doors.

The energy conservation project is expected to save the district nearly $200,000 a year.  The district has also qualified for $60,000 in rebates from Xcel Energy, as well as $200,000 in tax incentives from the federal government.
