Elizabeth M. Stowe, 88, Sartell

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell for Elizabeth M. Stowe, age 87 of Sartell, who died on Monday. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Sartell. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to services at the chapel on Thursday. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Elizabeth was born on October 24, 1927 in Heron Lake, MN to Frank and Edith (Huberman) Hendrick. She was married to Raymond Stowe on November 26, 1947 in Heron Lake, MN. The couple lived in Jeffers, MN before moving to Sartell in 2013. Elizabeth worked as a cleaning lady for Pirate’s Cove Restaurant. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening, canning, playing cribbage, word searches and fishing.

Survivors include her children, Dennis (Jackie) of Duluth, Shirley (Billy) Lindner of Rice, Roger of Rice, Ronald of St. Cloud and Daniel (Sandy Retzack) of St. Cloud; sister, Donna Floyd of Hemingway, SC; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond on May 12, 2013; son, William; brothers, Earl, Marvin, Vernon, Russell and William.

Elizabeth’s family would like to thank the staff of Country Manor and all who cared for her over the past three years.
