Dustin M. Schlien, 27, Sauk Rapids

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Dustin M. Schlien, age 27, who passed away Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. William Vos will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church.

Dustin Michael Schlien was born March 1, 1990 in St. Cloud to Allen & Lori (Brown) Schlien. He worked as a commercial roofer and was a member of Local 96 and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Above all, Dustin cherished being a father and was preparing to marry Taylor, the love of his life. Dustin worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, fishing, and he loved his Dad’s boat. Dustin was loving and patient. His likable, easy going and laid-back personality inspired many friendships.

Dustin is survived by his fiancée, Taylor Purinton of Sauk Rapids; sons, Carter and Camdyn; parents, Al & Lori Schlien of Sauk Rapids; brothers, Daniel (Anna) Schlien of Rice and David Schlien of Sauk Rapids; nieces and nephew, Kaitlyn, Jase and Charley, and his fur baby, Cooper. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents.
