Duane Eldon Anderson was born on November 12, 1950, in Marshall, MN, the son of Donovan and Martha (Zirpel) Anderson. His family moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where he graduated from Lincoln High School. Following his graduation he moved to Denver, CO, where he worked for Sutherlands Hardware store as a manager before working for Homelite out of Denver. He was an avid sports fan; he cheered on the Superbowl Champion Broncos, Yankees, and Avalanche. Duane’s competitive drive and outgoing nature helped him to continue to better himself at work.
