ST. PAUL (AP) - The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is holding a land auction on Oct. 9.

The DNR says plans to offer 30 parcels, all located in northern Minnesota. The parcels range in size from a half acre to 102 acres and offer opportunities for hunting and recreation, as well as cabin and residential development along prime lakeshore.

The auction will be held in Virginia in conjunction with St. Louis County's tax forfeited land sale.

The properties are in Cook, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake and St. Louis counties. Minimum bids range from $6,680 for a sliver of land in Hubbard County to $655,750 for 26.5 acres on St. Mary's Lake near Eveleth.
