District 742 Agrees To Lease Out Farm Land

ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Area School District has agreed to lease out some farm land.

During Thursday night's meeting the board agreed to a nine-year lease with Edling Farms of Clear Lake.  The farm will pay the district $105 an acre for the 70 acres.  The district has the option to break the lease after five years, if it plans to build a new school on the land.

The St. Cloud Area School District paid $406,000 for the property in Haven Township.   It's  located between Sherburne County Road 8 and Highway 10.
