Deputies On Snowmobiles Arrest Alleged Drunk Driver In Pick-up

ROCKVILLE -- Two deputies on snowmobiles arrested a St. Cloud man for allegedly driving drunk.

The Stearns County deputies were patrolling the Rockville area on their sleds on Saturday night at about 6:00 p.m. when they spotted a 1998 Toyota Tacoma allegedly driving erratically.

The truck drove away, and the deputies gave chase.  Other deputies in squad cars eventually showed-up and stopped the truck.

Officers arrested 50-year-old Alan Benson for fleeing a Peace Officer, suspicion of 2nd Degree DWI, Open Container, and he also had an uncased air rifle in the vehicle.
