Cyril “Cy” Anthony Kustermann, age 83, St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, February 6, 2015, at Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, TX.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Paul’s, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Father Pierz 4th Degree Knights of Columbus will stand honor guard from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.

Cy was born July 9, 1931, in Swan River Township, Morrison County, MN to Anton and Elsie (Mandery) Kustermann. He married Odilia “Dell” Janski on September 1, 1952 in Buckman, MN.
In 1951, Cy began work at 3rd Northwest National Bank in Minneapolis. He moved to Zapp National Bank in St. Cloud in 1952, before starting Lake State Supplies and Kustermann Accounting and Tax Service. He was also the owner of G&K Beverage Sales, Inc. Cy was a member of the Church of St. Paul’s, Eagles Club, Moose Lodge, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, American Bookkeepers’ Association, and St. Cloud Progressive Club.

Survivors include his sons and daughter, Marv (Kay Gohman) Kustermann of St. Cloud, MN; Ron (Mary) Kustermann of St. Cloud, MN; Janet (Ron) Goebel of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, Steve (Heather Young) Kustermann, Julie (Pete Weitz) Kustermann, Jenny (Luke) Young, Brad (Cherie) Kustermann, Michelle (Adam) Hinnenkamp, Chad (Stacy Johnson) Kustermann, Kelli Goebel, Kyle Goebel; five great grandchildren, Bailey Young, Casey Young, Ellie Kustermann, Jack Kustermann, and Anthony Weitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dell, on September 25, 2011; daughter-in-law, Pat Kustermann, on April 15, 2003; and infant sister, Sophia Kustermann.
