Country Music Legends ‘Sawyer Brown’ Headline Friday’s Granite City Days events

ST. CLOUD – Today’s (Friday) events for Granite City Days starts with a skate board competition at the Heritage Park Skate Plaza.  It runs from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.., with a $5 entry fee. Note: This is a time change from announced earlier.

UPDATE: The canoe trips today have been cancelled, due to high water.

Tonight is the 25th Annual Liberty Savings Bank Block Party.  It begins at 5:00 p.m. at Whitney Park.  The bands Slip Twister and the Rockin Hollywoods will play, with the night capped off by the legendary country music band Sawyer Brown.  They band has a string of hits since they started recording in 1981, including “Step That Step”, “Some Girls Do”, and “The Race Is On”.
