RICHMOND - A Cold Spring man has been arrested after the vehicle he was driving allegedly struck a gas line.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened just after 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Sunday) on County Road 111 north of Richmond.

The striking vehicle left the scene of the crash, but was described as a dark colored SUV. While officers were on the scene, a black vehicle matching that description drove up. The driver was identified as 32-year-old Kyle Buros of Cold Spring. He has been arrested for alleged drunk driving. There were no injuries.

The ruptured gas line was blowing a high volume of natural gas into the air. Responders were on the scene for about 10 hours securing the area until the Northern Gas Company was able to cap off and repair the line.
