Clearwater Man Injured in One Car Crash

An 18-year old Clearwater man was injured Saturday morning when he lost control of his vehicle on County Road 44 about one mile east of St. Augusta.

Police say Ryan Schmidt was westbound on 44 about a mile east of County Road 7 when the car went off the road, struck several Stearns Electric power boxes, hit an approach and went airborne, landing on its roof.

Schmidt was taken to the hospital by his parents. His condition wasn’t immediately known.
