ST. CLOUD - The Tri-County Humane Society is giving people a chance to take their Christmas photos with their pets.

Pet lovers brought their cats, dogs, and bunnies to take photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Marit Ortega is the Director of Philanthropy for the Tri-County Humane Society. She says the "Santa Paws" event has been popular for a long time at the humane society.

"It's not our biggest fundraiser of the year but it is our longest running. This is our 32nd annual Santa Paws."

The wildly popular event lasts all weekend. Unfortunately, if you did not sign up ahead of time you will be out of luck this year.

Ortega says one of the best parts of the event is seeing old friends and meeting new friends.

"There are a ton of alumni that come back, so it's definitely fun for that reason. We also see a lot of people that come year after year so we have seen additions to families. One year maybe it is a new pet and the next it could be a new baby."

Ortega says the annual event raises around $7,000 for the Tri-County Humane Society.
