Chisago Lakes topped the Tech Tigers 46-38 on Friday afternoon in Monticello. The game was the first of the season for Tech, who falls to 0-1. The Wildcats improve to 2-0.

The Tigers, who have only three seniors on the roster including returning starter Jake Martig, trailed for a majority of the contest. The score was 24-18 in favor of the Wildcats at the half, and CL never relinquished the lead in the second half.

Tech got to within a pair of points with less than two minutes remaining in the game but the Wildcats hit six straight free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Darren Anderson led the Tigers with eight points, and Brevyn Spann-Ford had six.

Tech plays again Saturday night in Monticello against the Magic. The game can be heard on AM 1390 The Fan beginning with pregame coverage at 7:50 PM.
