‘Central Perk’ Coffee Shop, Wine Bar Opening in Downtown St. Cloud [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - A new restaurant is opening on Monday in downtown St. Cloud.  Central Perk can be found at 912 West St. Germain Street, in the Regency Building, across from the Paramount Theatre.

The business is owned by two couples; Randi and Nick Tapio and Odessa and Alan Scherr.

Randi Tapio says Central Perk will be a coffee shop by day, then transition to a wine bar by night.  Tapio says it's really two businesses in one.

She says all of their staff have been trained in both specialties.

Central Perk will be open until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.  They'll be open nights Thursday through Saturday, plus anytime the Paramount has an event.  Tapio says they'll be open by 7:00 a.m. each day to offer breakfast options for people who work downtown.  They also plan to partner with the Paramount Theatre and the GREAT Theatre for special events.
