Cathedral Girls Golfers Finish 5th; Rocori’s Sorenson 9th

The Cathedral girls golf team finished 5th in the Class AA State meet at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.  Detroit Lakes won the team competition.  Kate Smith, a 8th grader from Detroit Lakes, won the medalist honor.  Kourtney Williams of Becker finished 2nd, Marja Sorenson of Rocori finished 9th, Lucy Gaetz of Cathedral finished tied for 26th and Erin Stocker of Cathedral finished tied for 36th.

In class 2A state boys golf Garret McCormick of Cathedral finished tied for 54th.  In the Class 3A girls state meet at Bunker Hills New Prague won the team competition.  Individually Apollo’s Nikki Torgerson finished tied for 29th, Meagan Larkin of Tech finished tied for 37th and Bobbie Bohlig of Tech finished tied for 45th.
